A few weeks ago I entered another one of my SMULE online karaoke competitions, this one all Disney music. Week 1, my group’s challenge was to sing from MARY POPPINS. Not wanting to do too much of an accent, I sang “Sister Suffragette” and was on the Judges’ Favorites List. Week Two had a “Love Song” theme. Here’s my entry, which received a perfect score, and a little video I made to go with it.

I recorded and mixed my vocals on this song from THE SECRET GARDEN.  I became obsessed with it after our awful winter 2 years ago, and learned more about mixing while getting it ready.

Still so much to learn, but there’s a lot of winter coming up during which to learn it.

I’ve been returning to my a cappella roots and having fun recording some new songs. Inspired by the Oscar-nominated movie and the recent Sondheim episode of GLEE, I decided to an a cappella version of “No One Is Alone.” I perform all the parts, and did the rough mixing, which I’ll keep getting better at. Enjoy!
